【摘要】:BSEN1917specifiesrequirementsanddescribestestmethodsforprecastconcreteinspectionchambers,designedtobeusedforinvertsnotexceeding2metresdeep,ofcircular,rectangular(withorwithoutchamferedorroundedcorners)orellipticalcross-section,unreinforced,steelfibreandreinforced,withnominalsizesornominallengthsnotexceedingDN1250orLN1250,respectively.TheintendeduseofBSEN1917istopermitaccessto,andtoallowaerationof,drainorsewersystemsfortheconveyanceofsewage,rainwaterandsurfacewaterundergravityoroccasionallyatlowheadofpressure,mainlyinstalledinareassubjectedtovehicularand/orpedestriantraffic.ThispartofBS5911specifiescomplementaryrequirementstothoseinBSEN1917forunreinforcedandreinforcedconcreteinspectionchambersofcircularandrectangularcross-section(withorwithoutchamferedorroundedcorners),asprovidedforinthatEuropeanStandard.ThispartalsospecifiesrequirementsforinspectionchamberunitslessthanorequaltoDN1000orLN/WN1000/675notexceeding1metredepthtoinvert.Theinspectionchambersaremainlyintendedforinstallationinareasoutsidethehighwayandwherevehicleloadingisrestricted.ThescopeofBSEN1917includessteelfibreconcreteinspectionchambers,whicharenotmanufacturedintheUnitedKingdomalthoughthiswasatonetimecontemplated.Therefore,theyhavebeenexcludedfromthispartofBS5911.ThescopeofBS5911-2originallyincludedinspectionchambercovers.However,thesehavebeenexcludedfromthispartofBS5911becausetheynowcomeunderthescopeofBSEN124.BSEN752,BSEN1295-1andBSEN1610dealwiththeplanning,design,installationandtestingofdrainsandsewers.
