【摘要】:ThispartofIEC61290appliestoallcommerciallyavailableopticalamplifiers(OAs)andopticallyamplifiedsubsystems.ItappliestoOAsusingopticallypumpedfibres(OFAsbasedoneitherrare-earthdopedfibresorontheRamaneffect),semiconductoropticalamplifiers(SOAs)andwaveguides(POWA).Thismethodiscalledinterpolatedsourcesubtraction(ISS)becausetheamplifiedspontaneousemission(ASE)ateachchannelisobtainedbyinterpolatingfrommeasurementsatasmallwavelengthoffsetaroundeachchannel.Tominimizetheeffectofsourcespontaneousemission,theeffectofsourcenoiseissubtractedfromthemeasurednoise.TheaccuracyoftheISStechniquedegradesathighinputpowerlevelduetothespontaneousemissionfromthelasersource(s).AnnexAprovidesguidanceonthelimitsofthistechniqueforhighinputpower.Anadditionalsourceofinaccuracyisduetointerpolationerror.AnnexAprovidesguidanceonthemagnitudeofinterpolationerrorforatypicalamplifierASEversuswavelengthcharacteristic.
